Community Card Pool Event

Hey guys/gals,

There will be a Community Card Pool Event this Saturday (22nd May 2010) at Paradigm Infinitum (Orchard Road Store) from 5pm - 7pm (onwards). Please let me know if you wish to come for the event but are unable to arrive by 5pm, and we can work something out.

There will be impromptu games and prizes to be won! Ready your falcon's eyes and ears of the hare for announcements during the event.

Also, our new Archon will present the boring stuff (rules and regulations) for the Community Card Pool during the event.

Walk-in registration is $3 per participant for existing members (this includes membership renewal fee) and $8 for anyone who wishes to sign up for access to the community card pool.

Register with me by Friday (21st May 2010) and pay only $2 for membership renewal or $5 for a new membership. All fees for pre-registration must be paid to either Bann or me by Friday to qualify for the discount.

Anyone who is unable to come for the event can renew their membership anytime for $5 or become a member for $10.

See you there!

  1. Seems like I missed out a little detail when planning for this event.

From what I was told, the current set of members signed up with the understanding that their membership lasts for 1 year. Unfortunately, this does not make sense from an administration point of view (unless the community wishes to hire, and pay for, a clerk). So from this point on, membership will only expire when you miss a Community Card Pool event and do not wish to pay the renewal fees.

So what does this mean for our members with less than 1-year-old memberships?
    You can:

    A) come and participate in the event and pay for the event as described in the announcement, thus keeping your Community Card Pool membership, or

    B) come and participate in the event, but pay only when your 1-year period is up (not applicable for pre-registration discounts), and keeping your membership status intact, or

    C) reaffirm your membership status as described in the announcement, and continue to enjoy access to the pool and other membership benefits, or

    D) renew your membership as described in the announcement when your 1-year period ends, and continue your membership status

Whichever option you choose, please note that the membership will no longer be time-based once it has been renewed.
If you choose option B or D, it will fall upon you to come forth and renew your membership once it expires. If you fail to do so, your membership will simply expire. I would like to be able to provide notice when your membership is ending, but that is unfortunately as unfeasible as issuing time-based memberships.
